THE Theatre is a community repertory company committed to diverse traditions of theatre and using theatre to its fullest extent as a means of social dialog. Right now THE Theatre is bringing you performances online.
Inspired by social change theatre theorists and pioneers such as Bertolt Brecht and Augusto Boal, THE Theatre recognizes the role theatre plays shedding light on uncomfortable truths and opening dialog in communities. Not to say we don't all love a bit of entertaining escapism, but audiences can trust that THE Theatre presentations are founded in empowerment and authenticity.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
THE Theatre will create original, online performances while using this "safer at home" time to ready our ensemble for life after the pandemic. Stay tuned for Zoom plays and American Era tributes featuring the 20s, 40s, 50s, and 60s.
We plan to have a capital campaign in hopes of finding our own small venue to invite audiences in for live performances once it's again safe to gather. We are eager to have a store front or warehouse theatre that provides an intimate environment and entirely transformable performance space.
